In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and efficiency of patient care by conducting reviews of medical records and collaborating with healthcare providers to determine the most appropriate treatment plans.   1. Conduct reviews of patient medical records to assess the appropriateness and quality of care being provided.
  2. Collaborate with healthcare providers to determine the most effective treatment plans for patients.
  3. Utilize clinical knowledge and expertise to identify potential gaps in care and make recommendations for improvement.
  4. Communicate with patients, families, and caregivers to educate them on the treatment plan and address any concerns or questions.
  5. Document all review findings accurately and thoroughly.
  6. Stay up-to-date on current healthcare regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance in all aspects of patient care.
  7. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and develop individualized treatment plans.
  8. Serve as a resource to healthcare providers and staff on clinical issues and best practices.
  9. Advocate for patients and their families to ensure they receive the highest level of care and support.
  10. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions.
  11. Provide timely and accurate reports to management on utilization review activities.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve utilization review processes to enhance efficiency and quality of patient care.
  13. Collaborate with insurance companies and other third-party payers to coordinate payment for services.
  14. Provide guidance and mentorship to other healthcare professionals, including nurses, on utilization review processes and procedures.
  15. Uphold the mission, values, and standards of Kindred Healthcare in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution.

  • Active And Unrestricted Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Employment.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Utilization Review Processes, Insurance Requirements, And Healthcare Regulations.

  • Strong Communication, Critical Thinking, And Problem-Solving Skills.
