Registered Nurse - ICU

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse - ICU to join our team at Kindred Healthcare. Our ICU team provides specialized care for critically ill patients, and we need a Registered Nurse who is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care possible. Our ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of ICU policies and procedures, as well as a strong commitment to patient safety and comfort.The successful candidate must have a valid nursing license, minimum of one year of ICU experience, current CPR certification, and excellent communication and organizational skills. They must also be able to work well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities:

1. Provide compassionate and competent care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting.
2. Adhere to the policies, procedures, and standards of Kindred Healthcare and the ICU.
3. Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients and their families.
4. Monitor and assess patient condition, including vital signs, and document patient progress.
5. Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders.
6. Support patient and family members in understanding diagnosis, treatment, and home care needs.
7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, quality patient care.
8. Remain up-to-date on ICU procedures and protocols.
9. Educate and orient new staff members to the ICU.
10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
