  1. Coordinate all aspects of the referral process for patients in the Interventional Radiology department, ensuring timely and high-quality care.
  2. Communicate with physicians, insurance companies, and other healthcare professionals to schedule appointments and obtain necessary authorizations.
  3. Work closely with the interventional radiology team to ensure that all procedures are scheduled efficiently and effectively.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient referrals, appointments, and authorizations.
  5. Act as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to resolve any issues or concerns.
  6. Educate patients and their families about the referral process and answer any questions they may have.
  7. Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth referral process for patients.
  8. Stay current on healthcare procedures and insurance processes to effectively manage patient referrals.
  9. Utilize electronic health record systems to manage patient information and referrals.
  10. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  11. Assist in developing and implementing processes and procedures to improve the referral process and overall patient experience.
  12. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  13. Participate in meetings and trainings to stay updated on departmental policies and procedures.
  14. Comply with all regulatory and compliance guidelines related to patient referrals.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Healthcare Administration And Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: A Referral Coordinator In Interventional Radiology Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Procedures, As Well As Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Role Requires Frequent Communication With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
