
PRN - Pharmacy Technician
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician for our PRN position at Kindred Healthcare. Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy, the Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for providing quality pharmacy services for our patients. The successful candidate will be a critical part of our Pharmacy team, ensuring medication orders are filled accurately, swiftly, and safely.The successful candidate must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and must be eligible to be certified as a pharmacy technician in the state of employment. Additionally, they must possess a minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital or long-term care setting. Responsibilities:
- Fill medication orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure medication orders are filled in accordance with the hospital and long-term care policies and procedures.
- Maintain and update all pharmacy records, including patient profiles and medication histories.
- Assist the Director of Pharmacy in verifying drug orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist with inventory control and restocking of medications.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed to maintain a safe and secure medication environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy work area.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
- Participate in continuing education programs to stay current on pharmacy practices.
