  1. Conduct sleep studies using various techniques and equipment to diagnose sleep disorders.
  2. Analyze sleep study data, including EEG, EKG, and respiratory patterns, to identify abnormalities and provide accurate diagnoses.
  3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans for patients with sleep disorders.
  4. Educate patients on sleep hygiene and provide recommendations for improving sleep habits.
  5. Monitor patients during sleep studies to ensure their safety and comfort.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of sleep study results and patient information.
  7. Troubleshoot and maintain equipment used for sleep studies.
  8. Stay current with advancements in sleep disorder research and contribute to the development of new treatment methods.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide compassionate care and address any concerns.
  10. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the sleep lab.
  12. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  13. Attend continuing education and training programs to enhance knowledge and skills in the field of sleep disorders.
  14. Act as a resource for other healthcare professionals and assist in the training of new polysomnography technicians.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional patient care and promoting a positive patient experience.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification In Polysomnographic Technology (Cpsgt Or Rpsgt) From The Board Of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (Brpt).

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Sleep Laboratory Setting.

  • Proficient In Conducting And Scoring Sleep Studies, As Well As Analyzing And Interpreting Results.

  • Knowledge Of Various Sleep Disorders And Treatments, And Ability To Educate Patients On Proper Sleep Hygiene.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team.
