Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Physical Therapist to join our team on a PRN (as needed) basis. As a Physical Therapist at Kindred Healthcare, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our patients by providing individualized treatment plans to help them achieve their rehabilitation goals. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping others and has the necessary qualifications to excel in this role.   1. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients based on their specific needs and goals.
  2. Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to determine the appropriate course of treatment.
  3. Utilize various physical therapy techniques and modalities to help patients improve their mobility, strength, and overall physical function.
  4. Monitor and document patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
  6. Educate patients and their families on proper techniques and exercises for continued progress and prevention of future injuries.
  7. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care and progress.
  8. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of practice in the field of physical therapy.
  9. Continuously strive for professional development and stay updated on the latest advancements and research in the field of physical therapy.
  10. Foster a compassionate and supportive environment for patients, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
  11. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other team members to ensure the highest quality of care.
  12. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as federal and state regulations.
  13. Maintain a positive and professional attitude, representing the values and mission of Kindred Healthcare.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Physical Therapy: Candidates Should Possess A Bachelor's Degree In Physical Therapy From An Accredited Institution.

  • State-Issued Pt License: A Valid And Current Pt License Is Required To Practice In The State Where The Kindred Healthcare Facility Is Located.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience: Candidates Should Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Physical Therapist, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Cpr Certification: A Current Cpr Certification Is Required, Preferably From The American Heart Association.

  • Excellent Communication And Patient Care Skills: A Successful Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication Skills And Be Able To Provide Quality Care To Patients With A Variety Of Conditions.
