Certification In Phlebotomy: Candidates For The Phlebotomist Position At Kindred Healthcare Must Have A Valid Certification In Phlebotomy From A Recognized Institution.
Experience In A Healthcare Setting: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As A Phlebotomist In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Clinical Environment.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Procedures: A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Procedures Related To Phlebotomy Is Essential For This Position. This Includes Knowledge Of Blood Collection Techniques, Safety Protocols, And Specimen Handling.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Phlebotomist At Kindred Healthcare, The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Colleagues, And Other Healthcare Professionals Is Crucial. Strong Interpersonal Skills Are Also Necessary To Build Rapport With Patients And Create A Comfortable Environment For Blood Collection.
Attention To Detail And Ability To Multi-Task: Phlebotomists Must Be Detail-Oriented And Have The Ability To Multi-Task In A Fast-Paced Environment. This Includes Accurately Labeling And Documenting Specimens, Organizing Workloads, And Prioritizing Tasks To Ensure Timely And Accurate Results.
