
Pharmacy Technician
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join the Kindred Healthcare team. Our ideal candidate will have a strong interest in the health care industry, excellent customer service skills, and an outgoing personality. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate and timely filling of medication orders under the supervision of a pharmacist.To be successful, you must have a high school diploma or its equivalent, plus one year of pharmacy technician experience. You must also be certified as a pharmacy technician in the state of employment. Additionally, you must have excellent communication and organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.If you are a team player who is looking to provide excellent patient care and service in a dynamic health care setting, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Accurately and timely fill medication orders under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Ensure all prescriptions are filled and dispensed in accordance with all legal and regulatory guidelines.
- Assist in maintaining the overall operations of the pharmacy, including inventory control, stock replenishment, and patient counseling.
- Maintain records of medications dispensed and other related activities.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Monitor the expiration dates of medications and keep current on changes in pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Attend continuing education programs to keep up with changes in the pharmacy field.
- Comply with all safety regulations and adhere to company policies.
