  1. Dispensing and verifying the accuracy of medication orders for patients, ensuring that the correct medication, dosage, and instructions are given.
  2. Collaborating with healthcare providers to develop and implement treatment plans for patients, taking into consideration their medical history, allergies, and other medications they may be taking.
  3. Monitoring patients for any adverse reactions or interactions with their medications, and taking appropriate actions to address any issues.
  4. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient medication profiles, including allergies, medical conditions, and current medications.
  5. Educating patients and their families on the proper use and potential side effects of their medications, as well as any necessary precautions.
  6. Ensuring compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations related to medication handling and administration.
  7. Ordering, receiving, and storing medications and supplies in accordance with pharmacy policies and procedures.
  8. Monitoring inventory levels and restocking as needed to ensure an adequate supply of medications.
  9. Collaborating with pharmacy technicians to delegate tasks and ensure efficient workflow in the pharmacy.
  10. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
  11. Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the safety and effectiveness of medication use for patients.
  12. Staying current on developments and advancements in the field of pharmacy, and incorporating new knowledge and best practices into daily work.
  13. Building and maintaining positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members to promote a caring and compassionate environment.
  14. Adhering to ethical standards and confidentiality guidelines in all interactions with patients and their families.
  15. Continuously seeking opportunities for professional growth and development to enhance job performance and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Doctor Of Pharmacy Degree From An Accredited Institution.

  • Current And Active State Pharmacy License.

  • Minimum Of 1-3 Years Of Experience In A Hospital Or Long-Term Care Pharmacy Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Pharmacy Regulations And Guidelines.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills For Collaborating With Healthcare Team Members And Patients.
