
Patient Access Representative - Digestive Disorders
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Patient Access Representative - Digestive Disorders to join the team at Kindred Healthcare. As a Patient Access Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and ensure they receive the best possible care. You will be responsible for collecting patient information, scheduling appointments, and processing payments.To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, knowledge of digestive disorders, and experience working with electronic medical records. Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients with digestive disorders, verifying their identity and insurance eligibility.
- Collect and accurately enter patient information into the electronic medical record system.
- Schedule appointments and follow up with patients to ensure timely arrival.
- Manage patient payments and process credit/debit card transactions.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and provide information regarding financial obligations.
- Respond to patient inquiries and provide assistance with any questions or concerns.
- Maintain a friendly and helpful demeanor at all times.
- Monitor and track patient progress and follow up with patients as needed.
- Communicate with healthcare providers and other staff members as needed.
- Stay up to date on changes to healthcare regulations and policies.
Excellent Customer Service And Communication Skills
Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team
High School Diploma Or Ged
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Health Insurance Guidelines
Demonstrated Ability To Maintain Accurate Patient Records
Experience Working In A Medical Office Setting
Computer Proficiency With Microsoft Office
Experience With Digestive Disorders And/Or Related Treatments.
