OR Anesthesia Technician

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic OR Anesthesia Technician to join the Kindred Healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing the technical tasks associated with anesthesiology, monitoring patient conditions, and providing assistance to anesthesiologists during procedures. The ideal candidate has a combination of expertise in anesthesia, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.To succeed in this role, you will need to possess an Associate's degree in anesthesiology technology or a related field, as well as a minimum of two years of experience in a hospital setting. You must also have strong communication skills, be able to think quickly, and have an understanding of anesthesia and patient care protocols. Lastly, you must be able to work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform technical tasks related to anesthesiology, such as setting up and calibrating equipment, preparing medication and administering injections.
2. Monitor patient conditions during procedures and make adjustments to the anesthesia as needed.
3. Assist anesthesiologists in the preparation of patients for surgery and provide support during procedures.
4. Maintain accurate records of patients’ anesthesia history and administer post-operative care instructions.
5. Communicate effectively with other members of the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and optimal care.
6. Stay up to date on the latest developments in anesthesia technology and patient care protocols.
7. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
8. Assist with the maintenance and cleaning of anesthesia equipment.
