As an Operating Room RN, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of patient care during surgical procedures. Your clinical expertise, attention to detail, and strong communication skills will be essential in providing exceptional care to our patients. If you are a dedicated and compassionate RN with experience in the Operating Room, we would love to have you join our team.

  1. Provide compassionate and quality care to patients in accordance with Kindred Healthcare's mission.
  2. Join the Operating Room team and contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of patient care during surgical procedures.
  3. Utilize clinical expertise to assess, plan, and implement appropriate care for patients in the Operating Room.
  4. Ensure patient safety by adhering to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as infection control protocols.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and communicate any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare team members.
  6. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth and seamless surgical experience for patients.
  7. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and monitor patients' responses.
  8. Assist with surgical procedures, including preparation of equipment and supplies, positioning of patients, and providing support to surgeons and other team members.
  9. Act as a patient advocate and provide emotional support to patients and their families during the surgical process.
  10. Continuously evaluate and improve upon nursing practices in the Operating Room to ensure the highest level of patient care.
  11. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
  12. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices and advancements in surgical nursing.
  13. Adhere to all regulatory and accreditation standards, including those related to patient safety and privacy.
  14. Maintain a professional demeanor and uphold Kindred Healthcare's values of integrity, teamwork, and excellence in all interactions.

Job Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Employment.

  • Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications.

  • Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Degree From An Accredited Institution.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In An Operating Room Setting.

  • Proficiency In Sterile Technique And Surgical Instrumentation, As Well As Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures And Protocols.
