  • Monitor and interpret the vital signs of patients, including EKG rhythms, to ensure their safety and well-being
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide accurate and timely updates on patient conditions
  • Troubleshoot and respond to alarms and alerts from monitoring equipment
  • Document all observations and actions taken in patient medical records
  • Maintain and calibrate monitoring equipment to ensure accuracy and functionality
  • Recognize and report any abnormalities or changes in patient vital signs to appropriate healthcare providers
  • Adhere to all hospital and department policies and procedures, as well as regulatory guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and reassurance as needed
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on advancements in monitoring technology and techniques
  • Foster a positive and compassionate environment for patients and their loved ones.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.

  • Completion Of A Monitor Technician Training Program Or Equivalent Experience.

  • Certification As A Cardiac Monitor Technician (Cmt) Or Equivalent.

  • Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Monitoring Or Cardiac Unit.

  • Familiarity With Ekg Interpretation And Ability To Recognize And Report Abnormal Heart Rhythms.
