Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science Or A Related Field: A Strong Educational Foundation In Medical Laboratory Science Or A Related Field Is Essential For A Medical Technologist - Clinical Lab Scientist Position At Kindred Healthcare. This Degree Should Be From An Accredited Institution And Should Include Coursework In Areas Such As Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology, Hematology, And Immunology.
Certification As A Medical Technologist (Mt) Or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Cls): Kindred Healthcare Requires Its Medical Technologists - Clinical Lab Scientists To Be Certified By A Recognized Accrediting Agency, Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or The American Medical Technologists (Amt). This Certification Ensures That Candidates Have Met Rigorous Education And Experience Requirements And Have Demonstrated Competency In Their Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Laboratory Experience: Kindred Healthcare Prefers Candidates With At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Clinical Laboratory Setting. This Experience Should Include Performing A Variety Of Laboratory Tests, Maintaining Accurate Records, And Troubleshooting Equipment And Procedures. Candidates With Experience In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting Will Be Given Preference.
Knowledge Of Laboratory Equipment And Procedures: As A Medical Technologist - Clinical Lab Scientist At Kindred Healthcare, Candidates Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Laboratory Equipment, Procedures, And Safety Protocols. This Includes Knowledge Of Automated And Manual Testing Methods, Proficiency In Performing Quality Control And Assurance Procedures, And The Ability To Troubleshoot Equipment And Procedures.
