  1. Perform complex laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently.
  2. Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate test results.
  3. Analyze test results and report findings to medical staff in a timely manner.
  4. Monitor quality control measures to ensure accuracy and precision of test results.
  5. Follow established protocols and procedures for handling and testing specimens.
  6. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
  7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  8. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with laboratory equipment.
  9. Keep accurate and organized records of test results and procedures.
  10. Participate in continuing education and training programs to stay current with industry advancements.
  11. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations in the laboratory.
  12. Support and promote a positive and professional work environment.
  13. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families.
  14. Participate in research and development projects to improve laboratory processes.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science Or A Related Field: A Strong Educational Foundation In Medical Laboratory Science Or A Related Field Is Essential For A Medical Technologist - Clinical Lab Scientist Position At Kindred Healthcare. This Degree Should Be From An Accredited Institution And Should Include Coursework In Areas Such As Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology, Hematology, And Immunology.

  • Certification As A Medical Technologist (Mt) Or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Cls): Kindred Healthcare Requires Its Medical Technologists - Clinical Lab Scientists To Be Certified By A Recognized Accrediting Agency, Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or The American Medical Technologists (Amt). This Certification Ensures That Candidates Have Met Rigorous Education And Experience Requirements And Have Demonstrated Competency In Their Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Laboratory Experience: Kindred Healthcare Prefers Candidates With At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Clinical Laboratory Setting. This Experience Should Include Performing A Variety Of Laboratory Tests, Maintaining Accurate Records, And Troubleshooting Equipment And Procedures. Candidates With Experience In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting Will Be Given Preference.

  • Knowledge Of Laboratory Equipment And Procedures: As A Medical Technologist - Clinical Lab Scientist At Kindred Healthcare, Candidates Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Laboratory Equipment, Procedures, And Safety Protocols. This Includes Knowledge Of Automated And Manual Testing Methods, Proficiency In Performing Quality Control And Assurance Procedures, And The Ability To Troubleshoot Equipment And Procedures.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: As A Crucial Member Of The Healthcare Team, Medical Technologists - Clinical Lab Scientists At Kindred Healthcare Must Have Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills. They Will Be Expected To Collaborate With Physicians, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals To Provide Accurate And Timely Test Results And Contribute To Patient Care. Strong Interpersonal Skills And The Ability To Work Well In A Fast-Paced, Team Environment Are Essential For This Role.
