- Perform accurate and timely laboratory testing services in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Maintain and operate laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to safety protocols.
- Analyze and interpret laboratory results, troubleshoot any discrepancies, and report findings to medical staff.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and effective patient care.
- Maintain detailed records of all tests performed and ensure proper documentation and reporting.
- Adhere to all regulatory and accreditation standards, including CLIA and OSHA guidelines.
- Continuously assess and improve processes to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advances in laboratory technology and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure the accuracy and integrity of test results.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient laboratory operations.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions with empathy and professionalism.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the organization's mission of providing compassionate care and improving the health and well-being of patients.
Certification As A Medical Technologist (Mt) Or Medical Laboratory Scientist (Mls) From A Recognized Accrediting Agency, Such As Ascp Or Amt.
Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology Or A Related Field, Such As Clinical Laboratory Science Or Biology.
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience Working As A Medical Technologist In A Clinical Laboratory Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Laboratory Procedures And Instrumentation, Including Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, And Blood Bank.
Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team, With Excellent Attention To Detail And Critical Thinking Skills.
