  1. Conduct and perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently, including but not limited to hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood bank.
  2. Analyze and interpret test results, and communicate findings to physicians and other healthcare professionals in a timely manner.
  3. Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, troubleshoot any issues, and ensure proper functioning for accurate results.
  4. Follow established laboratory procedures and protocols, as well as adhere to safety and infection control guidelines.
  5. Ensure that all documentation, records, and reports are complete, accurate, and properly maintained.
  6. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure the best possible patient care and outcomes.
  7. Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of laboratory testing.
  8. Stay current with new techniques and procedures in medical technology, and implement them as appropriate.
  9. Train and mentor new laboratory staff, as well as provide guidance and support to other team members.
  10. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times, and provide excellent customer service to patients and their families.
  11. Adhere to all regulatory and accreditation standards, as well as Kindred Healthcare policies and procedures.
  12. Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency.
  13. Attend and participate in departmental meetings, continuing education programs, and other professional development opportunities.
  14. Perform other related duties as assigned by the laboratory manager or supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science Or Related Field.

  • Certification As A Medical Technologist (Mt) Or Medical Laboratory Scientist (Mls) From A Recognized Accrediting Agency, Such As Ascp Or Amt.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Laboratory Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Laboratory Equipment, Procedures, And Quality Control Measures.

  • Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Multidisciplinary Team, With Excellent Communication And Time Management Skills.
