Kindred Healthcare is seeking a part-time Infection Control - Employee Health Nurse to join our team. As an integral member of our healthcare facility, you will play a vital role in preventing and controlling infections, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and promoting employee health and wellness. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced nurse with a strong understanding of infection control practices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality care.   1. Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  2. Conduct regular infection control surveillance and risk assessments to identify potential areas of concern and implement preventative measures.
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement infection control education and training programs for employees.
  4. Monitor and track infections within the facility and report any outbreaks or trends to appropriate authorities.
  5. Investigate and report any incidents of healthcare-associated infections and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken.
  6. Provide guidance and support to employees on infection control practices and procedures.
  7. Conduct employee health screenings and manage employee health records to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  8. Stay current on updates and changes in infection control guidelines and regulations.
  9. Participate in infection control committees and work collaboratively with other departments to promote a safe and healthy environment for patients, employees, and visitors.
  10. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to infection control and employee health activities.
  11. Serve as a resource for healthcare staff and provide guidance on infection prevention and control practices.
  12. Communicate effectively with patients, employees, and visitors regarding infection control protocols.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to infection control and employee health.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of all patient and employee information.
  15. Adhere to all company policies and procedures and maintain a professional and ethical demeanor.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field.

  • Current And Active Rn License In The State Of Employment.

  • Certification In Infection Control (E.g. Cic) Preferred.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Nursing Experience, With 1 Year In Infection Control Or Employee Health.

  • Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements And Infection Control Best Practices.
