
Infection Control/ Employee Health Nurse

- Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures to prevent and control the spread of infections within the facility.
- Conduct regular infection control audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
- Monitor and report on infection rates and trends within the facility.
- Educate and train staff on infection control protocols and best practices.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to identify and respond to potential outbreaks or infectious diseases.
- Maintain and update employee health records, including immunization records and health assessments.
- Conduct pre-employment and annual health screenings for employees.
- Coordinate and administer employee immunizations and vaccinations.
- Provide guidance and support to employees on maintaining their own health and preventing the spread of infections.
- Serve as a resource for staff and management on infection control and employee health issues.
- Participate in the development and review of infection control and employee health related policies and procedures.
- Stay current on infection control best practices and guidelines, and implement changes as necessary.
- Investigate and report any suspected or confirmed cases of communicable diseases.
- Collaborate with local and state health departments as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all infection control and employee health activities.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to continuously improve infection control and employee health practices.
- Adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines related to infection control and employee health.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff regarding infection control and employee health matters.
- Attend and actively participate in meetings and committees related to infection control and employee health.
- Uphold the mission and values of Kindred Healthcare in all aspects of the job.
Valid Nursing License And Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Infection Control Or Employee Health Nursing.
Knowledge Of Infection Prevention And Control Practices, Including Cdc Guidelines And Osha Regulations.
Experience With Employee Health Programs, Including Conducting Pre-Employment Screenings And Managing Workplace Injuries.
Ability To Develop And Implement Infection Control Policies And Procedures To Prevent And Control The Spread Of Infections.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Educate And Train Staff On Infection Control Measures And Procedures.
