  1. Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures in accordance with national and local regulations and guidelines.
  2. Monitor and track infection rates within the facility, identifying potential areas for improvement and implementing necessary interventions.
  3. Conduct regular infection control audits and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  4. Educate and train healthcare staff on infection prevention and control measures, including proper hand hygiene, personal protective equipment use, and isolation precautions.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to investigate and manage outbreaks of infectious diseases.
  6. Oversee the management and maintenance of infection control equipment and supplies.
  7. Serve as a resource for employees on all matters related to infection control and employee health.
  8. Conduct pre-employment and annual health screenings for employees, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  9. Provide support and guidance to employees with work-related injuries or illnesses.
  10. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all infection control and employee health activities.
  11. Stay informed on current trends and advancements in infection control and employee health practices.
  12. Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management to promote a culture of safety and infection prevention.
  13. Uphold ethical and professional standards in all aspects of job performance.
  14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the healthcare facility.
  15. Adhere to all privacy and confidentiality regulations in regards to employee health records.

Job Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Employment.

  • Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Degree Preferred.

  • Certification In Infection Control (Cic) Or Occupational Health Nursing (Cohn) Preferred.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Infection Control Or Employee Health In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Current Infection Prevention And Control Guidelines And Regulations From Cdc, Osha, And Other Regulatory Agencies.
