
Health Information Management Technician FT

- Maintain and organize patient medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of patient health information.
- Utilize electronic health record systems to manage and track patient records.
- Review and analyze patient records for completeness and accuracy.
- Retrieve and release patient information in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient care.
- Maintain knowledge of current healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
- Train and educate healthcare staff on proper record keeping and documentation procedures.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or concerns in patient records.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information.
- Assist with audits and quality improvement initiatives related to health information management.
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and technology advancements in health information management.
- Act as a liaison between healthcare providers and patients regarding medical records requests.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the improvement of processes and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
Associate's Degree In Health Information Management Or Related Field.
Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs) Or Registered Health Information Technician (Rhit) Certification.
At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Health Information Management Or Medical Coding.
Strong Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Icd-10 Coding, And Electronic Health Record Systems.
Excellent Organizational And Time-Management Skills, With The Ability To Work Efficiently In A Fast-Paced Healthcare Environment.
