In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the management and maintenance of all health information processes and systems at our facility. As a leader in our organization, you will ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, while also promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.   1. Oversee and manage all health information processes and systems at the facility.
  2. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as HIPAA and CMS guidelines.
  3. Develop and implement policies and procedures for the management and maintenance of health information.
  4. Train and supervise staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency in health information processes.
  5. Monitor and maintain health information systems, including electronic health records and paper records.
  6. Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate completion of medical records.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as insurance companies and government agencies.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.
  9. Conduct audits and quality checks to identify and address any issues or discrepancies.
  10. Serve as a resource for staff and provide guidance and support on health information management matters.
  11. Promote a positive and collaborative work environment, fostering teamwork and open communication.
  12. Participate in hiring, training, and performance evaluations for health information management staff.
  13. Ensure confidentiality and security of all health information in accordance with privacy laws and regulations.
  14. Prepare and present reports on health information management processes and outcomes to upper management.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Health Information Management Or Related Field

  • Certified Health Information Management (Chim) Or Registered Health Information Administrator (Rhia) Credential

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Health Information Management, Preferably In A Supervisory Role

  • Strong Knowledge Of Healthcare Regulations And Compliance, Including Hipaa And Ahima Guidelines

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage And Motivate A Team Of Health Information Management Professionals.
