
EKG Technician
At Kindred Healthcare, we are looking for an experienced and highly motivated EKG Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to provide excellent patient care and have a positive attitude.We require an individual who has a high school diploma or equivalent and has completed a formal EKG program, as well as have experience using an EKG machine. The successful candidate should also have the ability to quickly respond to changes in patient condition and be knowledgeable in all aspects of cardiac monitoring.We are seeking an individual who is passionate about providing quality patient care and has excellent communication and customer service skills. The successful candidate will also be organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and in a team setting.If you are looking for an opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a difference in the lives of our patients, then this is the position for you.
Responsibilities of an EKG Technician:
- Perform EKG tests accurately and efficiently, in accordance with established protocols.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize arrhythmias, and notify medical staff of any changes in the patient’s condition.
- Maintain and troubleshoot EKG equipment and ensure it is in good working condition.
- Prepare and maintain patient records and documentation accurately and timely.
- Provide excellent patient care by being organized, professional, and courteous at all times.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and provide a safe environment for patients.
- Follow established protocols for the handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Participate in continuous professional development and education programs.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in departmental meetings and other administrative tasks as assigned.
