- Prepare and serve meals to patients based on their dietary needs and restrictions.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining area in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering and stocking food and supplies.
- Work closely with the dietary and nursing staff to ensure patients' dietary needs are met.
- Monitor patients' food intake and report any concerns or changes to the appropriate staff.
- Follow all dietary guidelines and protocols set by Kindred Healthcare.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and nursing staff regarding patient meal preferences, allergies, and special requests.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards, including proper food handling and temperature monitoring.
- Complete cleaning and maintenance tasks as assigned, including dishwashing, sweeping, and mopping.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and trainings as required.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Demonstrate a caring and compassionate attitude towards patients, families, and coworkers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager or supervisor.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Dietary Aide Prn At Kindred Healthcare Must Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent To Be Considered For The Role. This Ensures That The Individual Has A Basic Level Of Education And Is Able To Comprehend And Follow Instructions.
