1. Assist in the preparation and serving of meals for patients according to their specific dietary needs and restrictions.
2. Monitor and document patient food intake and report any concerns or issues to the appropriate staff.
3. Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including proper storage and handling of food and supplies.
4. Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures.
5. Collaborate with the dietary team to ensure that all patients receive appropriate and timely meals and snacks.
6. Assist in maintaining accurate inventory of food and supplies and notify the appropriate staff when items need to be reordered.
7. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or special requests they may have.
8. Attend and participate in team meetings and trainings as required.
9. Demonstrate a strong understanding of different dietary needs and restrictions, such as allergies, religious beliefs, and cultural preferences.
10. Follow all facility policies and procedures, including confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
11. Communicate effectively with other staff members and departments to ensure efficient and effective delivery of meals and care to patients.
12. Act in compliance with all state and federal regulations related to food service and patient care.
13. Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times, promoting a welcoming and caring environment for patients and staff.
14. Assist in the setup and cleanup of dining areas for meal service.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by the Dietary Supervisor or management team.
