  1. Assist the surgical team in preparing the operating room and equipment for procedures.
  2. Sterilize and maintain surgical equipment and instruments.
  3. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures and provide necessary supplies and instruments.
  4. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of surgical count procedures.
  5. Maintain a sterile field throughout the procedure.
  6. Assist with patient positioning and prepping.
  7. Handle specimens according to protocol.
  8. Monitor patient vital signs and report any abnormalities to the surgical team.
  9. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
  10. Communicate effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals.
  11. Provide comfort and reassurance to patients before and after procedures.
  12. Continuously assess and address any equipment or supply needs during procedures.
  13. Document all procedures accurately and maintain patient confidentiality.
  14. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current in surgical technology and procedures.
  15. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
  16. Demonstrate a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
  17. Follow all hospital and department policies and procedures.
  18. Maintain a professional and positive attitude towards patients and colleagues.
  19. Serve as a patient advocate and ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
  20. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in patient care and maintain patient confidentiality.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Credentials: The Ideal Candidate For A Certified Surgical Technologist Job At Kindred Healthcare Should Possess A Valid Cst Certification From A Recognized Organization Such As The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa).

  • Experience In Surgical Procedures: Kindred Healthcare Requires Candidates To Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Surgical Setting. This Experience Should Include A Wide Range Of Surgical Procedures, Including General, Orthopedic, And Obstetric Surgeries.
