  1. Assist in a variety of surgical procedures in the OBGYN department.
  2. Ensure the delivery of high-quality and compassionate care to patients.
  3. Maintain a clean and safe surgical environment.
  4. Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and supplies.
  5. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and assist accordingly.
  6. Communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other team members.
  7. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  8. Monitor and document patient vital signs and other important information.
  9. Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
  10. Stay updated on current practices and techniques in surgical technology.
  11. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  12. Uphold the values and mission of Kindred Healthcare.
  13. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  14. Follow all hospital policies and procedures.
  15. Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned by the OBGYN department manager.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Surgical Technician (Cst) Credential From An Accredited Program Or Equivalent Certification Recognized By The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa).

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience As A Surgical Technician, With A Focus On Obstetrics And Gynecology Procedures Preferred.

  • Knowledge Of Obgyn Surgical Procedures, Instruments, And Equipment.

  • Ability To Work Effectively And Efficiently In A Fast-Paced Surgical Environment.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate And Assist The Surgical Team, Including Surgeons, Nurses, And Anesthesiologists.
