  1. Provide compassionate and skilled respiratory therapy to patients with respiratory illnesses.
  2. Utilize expertise and knowledge in respiratory care to provide exceptional treatment and support to patients.
  3. Collaborate with a dynamic team to ensure patient-centered care.
  4. Assess and monitor patients' respiratory status and make appropriate treatment recommendations.
  5. Administer and monitor various respiratory therapies, such as oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and chest physiotherapy.
  6. Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions and self-care techniques.
  7. Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
  8. Monitor and maintain respiratory equipment and supplies.
  9. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
  10. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  11. Continuously strive to improve patient outcomes and provide high-quality care.
  12. Stay updated on industry advancements and attend training and educational opportunities as required.
  13. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
  14. Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude towards patients, families, and colleagues.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Associate's Degree In Respiratory Therapy: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Or Associate's Degree In Respiratory Therapy From An Accredited Institution Is Typically Required For A Certified Respiratory Therapist Position At Kindred Healthcare. This Education Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform The Job Duties Effectively.

  • Active Certification From The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc): A Valid And Active Certification From The Nbrc As A Certified Respiratory Therapist Is A Key Qualification For This Role. This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The National Standards For The Practice Of Respiratory Therapy And Is Competent In Providing Respiratory Care Services.

  • State Licensure: All Certified Respiratory Therapists At Kindred Healthcare Must Hold A Current And Valid State License To Practice Respiratory Therapy. This Licensure Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The State-Specific Requirements For The Practice Of Respiratory Therapy And Is Legally Allowed To Provide Respiratory Care Services.
