Job Description

We are currently seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis for night shifts. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and assisting our skilled nursing team in meeting the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and possess the necessary qualifications to excel in this role.   • Provide compassionate and quality care to patients in accordance with Kindred Healthcare standards and policies.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Observe and report any changes in patients' physical, emotional, or social well-being to the nursing team.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure a positive and supportive environment.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and other patient data as assigned.
  • Assist with patient mobility, including transferring and positioning patients in bed and in chairs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe patient environment by following infection control and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to develop and implement care plans for patients.
  • Participate in patient care conferences and contribute insights and observations for the development of individualized care plans.
  • Attend and actively participate in trainings, in-services, and staff meetings to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Adhere to all compliance and regulatory standards and guidelines related to the CNA role.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the nursing team or facility management.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Must Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent To Be Considered For This Position At Kindred Healthcare.

  • State Certification: A Cna Must Be Certified By The State In Which They Are Seeking Employment. This Includes Passing A Competency Exam And Completing A State-Approved Training Program.

  • Cpr Certification: A Cna Must Hold A Current Cpr Certification To Be Considered For This Role. This Is Important For Emergency Situations And Ensuring The Safety Of Patients.

  • Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Kindred Healthcare Prefers Candidates With Previous Experience Working As A Cna In A Healthcare Setting. This Experience Helps To Ensure The Candidate Is Familiar With The Responsibilities And Demands Of The Job.

  • Availability For Full-Time Night Shifts: This Position Requires Someone Who Is Able To Work Full-Time Night Shifts, Typically From 11 Pm To 7 Am. This Requires A Candidate Who Is Able To Maintain A Consistent Schedule And Be Available To Work During These Hours.
