- Provide compassionate and dedicated care to patients on the night shift.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and using the restroom.
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse.
- Administer medications as prescribed by the healthcare team.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, including changing linens, emptying bedpans, and sanitizing equipment.
- Assist with feeding and hydration of patients, ensuring they are receiving proper nutrition and hydration.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans for patients.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during times of illness or distress.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols and procedures.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain CNA certification and stay updated on best practices.
- Follow all policies and procedures of Kindred Healthcare and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude towards patients, their families, and coworkers.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving patient care.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising nurse or healthcare team leader.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Cna Must Have A Basic Education Level To Understand Medical Terminology, Communicate Effectively, And Perform Basic Math And Science Tasks.
Certified Nursing Assistant Certification: A Valid Cna Certification From An Accredited Training Program Is Required To Ensure Knowledge And Competency In Providing Basic Nursing Care.
Cpr Certification: Being Trained And Certified In Cpr Is Essential For A Cna In Case Of Emergency Situations.
Physical Stamina And Ability To Lift: A Cna Must Be Physically Fit And Able To Lift And Move Patients Who May Have Limited Mobility.
