
Certified Nursing Assistant CNA - full time nights

- Provide high-quality care: The primary responsibility of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Kindred Healthcare is to provide compassionate and personalized care to our patients. This includes assisting with daily activities, monitoring vital signs, and providing emotional and physical support to patients.
- Work night shift: The CNA will be expected to work on a full-time basis for the night shift. This will require being available to work overnight and on weekends as needed.
- Demonstrate empathy and compassion: As a member of our team, the CNA will be responsible for showing empathy and compassion towards our patients. This includes understanding their needs and providing emotional support during difficult times.
- Uphold high standards: The CNA will be expected to uphold the high standards of care set by Kindred Healthcare. This includes following all policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and communicating effectively with other team members.
- Assist with daily activities: The CNA will be responsible for assisting patients with their daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting. This may also include helping patients with mobility and transfers.
- Monitor vital signs: The CNA will be responsible for monitoring patients' vital signs and reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing staff. This includes recording and reporting temperature, blood pressure, and heart rate.
- Document patient care: The CNA will be responsible for accurately documenting patient care activities and observations in their medical records. This includes ensuring all documentation is completed in a timely and thorough manner.
- Collaborate with healthcare team: The CNA will work closely with the nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and provide the best possible care for patients. This includes effectively communicating any changes or concerns related to patient care.
- Maintain patient confidentiality: The CNA will be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of patient information at all times. This includes following HIPAA and other privacy regulations.
- Attend trainings and meetings:
Active Cna Certification: The Candidate Must Possess An Active And Valid Certified Nursing Assistant Certification From The State In Which They Will Be Working.
Relevant Work Experience: A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As A Cna In A Healthcare Setting Is Preferred. This Will Demonstrate The Candidate's Proficiency In Providing Patient Care And Their Familiarity With Healthcare Protocols.
Basic Medical Knowledge: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Basic Medical Terminology, Procedures, And Practices. This Will Enable Them To Effectively Communicate With Patients And Healthcare Professionals.
Physical Ability: The Role Of A Cna Requires Physical Strength And Stamina As They May Need To Lift And Move Patients, Assist With Daily Tasks, And Stand For Long Periods Of Time. The Candidate Must Be Able To Meet These Physical Demands.
Compassion And Empathy: A Cna Must Have A Caring And Compassionate Nature, As They Will Be Working Closely With Patients Who May Be In Pain Or Discomfort. Empathy And Patience Are Essential Qualities For Providing Quality Care To Patients.
