- Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients in the Behavioral Health Unit.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health and behavioral disorders.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.

Active Rn License: To Be Considered For A Behavioral Health Unit - Rn Position At Kindred Healthcare, Candidates Must Hold An Active And Unrestricted Rn License In The State Where The Facility Is Located.
Bsn Degree: Kindred Healthcare Gives Preference To Candidates Who Hold A Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Degree. This Advanced Education Provides Nurses With The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Effectively Care For Patients In A Behavioral Health Unit.
Previous Behavioral Health Experience: Candidates Should Have Previous Experience Working With Individuals Who Have Mental Health And/Or Substance Abuse Disorders. This Experience Can Include Working In A Psychiatric Hospital, Substance Abuse Treatment Facility, Or Other Behavioral Health Setting.
Bls Certification: All Candidates Must Hold Current Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification From The American Heart Association. This Certification Demonstrates The Ability To Respond To Emergency Situations And Provide Life-Saving Interventions.
Strong Communication And Assessment Skills: As A Behavioral Health Unit - Rn, Effective Communication And Accurate Patient Assessment Are Crucial For Providing Quality Care. Candidates Should Possess Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Assess And Monitor Patients For Changes In Behavior Or Mental Status.
