
Behavioral Health Unit - Registered Nurse

- Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients with behavioral health issues.
- Monitor and assess patients' mental and emotional well-being, and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop individualized care plans for patients.
- Implement and maintain safety measures for patients to prevent self-harm or harm to others.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Document patient care and progress accurately and thoroughly.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of nursing practice.
- Remain up-to-date on evidence-based practices and advancements in the field of behavioral health.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
- Demonstrate empathy, understanding, and patience towards patients and their families.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and standards.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

- Conduct patient and family education on discharge planning and follow-up care.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of patients and their families.
Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Employment.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) Preferred.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Behavioral Health Nursing.
Bls Certification From The American Heart Association.
Knowledge Of Psychiatric Medications And Experience With Behavioral Health Crisis Intervention.
