
Behavioral Health Unit - Registered Nurse

- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and assess patients' physical and mental health status.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patients' needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide coordinated care.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health and wellness.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.

Bachelor's Degree In Nursing With Active Rn License: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Required For A Behavioral Health Unit Rn Position At Kindred Healthcare. The Candidate Must Also Hold A Valid And Active Rn License In The State In Which They Will Be Working.
Prior Experience In Behavioral Health: At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Behavioral Health Setting Is Preferred For This Position. The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Mental Health Disorders And Treatment Modalities.
Ability To Assess And Manage Behavioral Health Patients: The Candidate Should Have Strong Assessment Skills And Be Able To Effectively Manage Patients With Behavioral Health Needs. This Includes The Ability To Recognize And Respond To Potential Crises And Provide Appropriate Interventions.
Team Player With Strong Communication Skills: As Part Of A Multidisciplinary Team, The Behavioral Health Unit Rn Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. They Should Also Be Able To Work Collaboratively And Contribute To The Overall Success Of The Unit.
Knowledge Of Regulatory And Accreditation Standards: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Regulatory And Accreditation Standards Related To Behavioral Health Care. This Includes Familiarity With Cms Guidelines, Joint Commission Standards, And State-Specific Regulations.
