- Provide exceptional and compassionate care to patients with mental health and substance abuse disorders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Administer and monitor medication regimens according to physician orders and patient needs.
- Conduct thorough assessments and document patient progress in electronic medical records.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health and substance abuse disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients by enforcing unit policies and procedures.
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient's mental or physical status, and report any concerns or issues to the appropriate team members.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in ongoing education and training opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to all regulatory and accreditation standards and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Act as an advocate for patients, promoting their rights and dignity at all times.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment by actively engaging in teamwork and professional collaboration.
- Maintain confidentiality and provide ethical and culturally sensitive care to all patients.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous quality improvement and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Required For This Position, As Well As A Current Rn License In The State Of Practice.
Behavioral Health Experience: A Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Working In A Behavioral Health Unit Or Mental Health Facility Is Preferred For This Role.
Knowledge Of Behavioral Health Conditions: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of Mental Health Disorders, Such As Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, And Schizophrenia.
Crisis Management Skills: As A Behavioral Health Unit Rn, The Ability To Calmly And Effectively Manage Crisis Situations Is Crucial. Candidates Should Have Experience In De-Escalation Techniques And Crisis Intervention.
Team Player With Strong Communication Skills: This Role Requires Collaboration With A Multidisciplinary Team, As Well As Effective Communication With Patients And Their Families. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication Skills And Be Able To Work Well In A Team Environment.
