  1. Provide high-quality and compassionate care to patients in the Behavioral Health Unit.
  2. Utilize strong nursing skills and knowledge to assess, plan, and implement appropriate care plans for patients with mental health challenges.
  3. Monitor patients' physical and mental status, and provide necessary interventions and treatments.
  4. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive and effective care for patients.
  5. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.
  6. Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
  8. Prioritize patient safety and confidentiality at all times.
  9. Continuously evaluate and adapt care plans based on patients' progress and needs.
  10. Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, providing emotional support and resources as needed.
  11. Attend and actively participate in team meetings, trainings, and educational programs.
  12. Stay updated on best practices and advancements in psychiatric nursing.

Job Qualifications
  • Valid Rn License: The Candidate Must Hold An Active And Unrestricted Registered Nurse (Rn) License Issued By The State In Which They Will Be Practicing.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Is Preferred, As It Demonstrates Advanced Knowledge And Skills In The Field Of Nursing.

  • Prior Experience In Behavioral Health: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In A Behavioral Health Unit Or A Related Setting, With A Strong Understanding Of Mental Health Disorders And Treatments.

  • Bls Certification: Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification From The American Heart Association Is Required, As Nurses On A Behavioral Health Unit May Be Required To Respond To Emergency Situations.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Candidate Must Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Families, And Multidisciplinary Teams In A Fast-Paced And Highly Emotional Environment.
