Associate Internal Auditor

This individual will be responsible for contributing to the overall success of the Internal Audit Department by helping to identify, analyze, and evaluate the adequacy of the organization’s internal control environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of integrity, an eye for detail, and a desire to help ensure Kindred Healthcare’s financial and operational objectives are met. The successful candidate should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, as well as a minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting, internal audit, or related field. Additionally, certification as a CPA or CIA is preferred. The chosen candidate must have a demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment, excellent communication and presentation skills, and an in-depth knowledge of industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Identify, analyze, and evaluate the adequacy of Kindred Healthcare’s internal control environment

• Perform financial and operational audits for the organization

• Develop and execute audit plans

• Analyze and report the results of audits

• Stay informed of changes in regulations and laws

• Maintain organized and secure records

• Prepare and present audit reports to management
