Job Description

At Kettering Health Network, we are looking for an experienced Ultrasound Technician to join our team and provide exceptional ultrasound services to our patients. We are seeking an individual who is compassionate, detail-oriented, and an excellent communicator. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude coupled with the technical experience and skills to excel in this position.The Ultrasound Technician must be certified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and have a minimum of one year clinical experience. In addition, the ideal candidate should be proficient in operating ultrasound equipment, interpreting physician orders, and providing patient instruction. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential for providing a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities:

  1. Operate ultrasound equipment in accordance with safety regulations and protocols.
  2. Prepare and maintain ultrasound equipment for each patient.
  3. Interpret physician orders and provide accurate diagnosis and treatment.
  4. Provide patient instruction and ensure patient understanding.
  5. Collaborate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
  6. Maintain records of patient data and images in accordance with established standards.
  7. Maintain professional certifications through continuing education and training.
  8. Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills.
  9. Provide a positive patient experience throughout the course of the ultrasound procedure.
