Job Description

Kettering Health Network is looking for an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to join our team. If you are passionate about culinary excellence, have a knack for innovation, and thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative work environment, then this may be the perfect opportunity for you.The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume, full-service restaurant setting. We are looking for someone with excellent organizational and communication skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to excellence. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic food enthusiast, a team player, and a culinary leader who is able to work collaboratively with chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure that all meals are prepared with the highest quality and consistency.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and manage kitchen staff to ensure quality and consistency of meals.
  2. Monitor and adjust food preparation processes to ensure quality and consistency of meals.
  3. Oversee ordering and inventory of food and supplies.
  4. Develop recipes and create innovative menus.
  5. Collaborate with chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared with the highest quality and consistency.
  6. Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met.
  7. Train and manage kitchen staff to ensure they are following recipes and procedures.
  8. Monitor food costs and manage budget.
  9. Provide leadership and direction to kitchen staff.
  10. Participate in menu planning and development.
