  1. Develop and implement policies and procedures related to labor and employment laws to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks for the organization.
  2. Provide legal advice and guidance to HR and management on labor and employment issues, including hiring, performance management, terminations, and workplace investigations.
  3. Conduct legal research and analysis to stay current on labor and employment laws and regulations and advise on any necessary updates or changes to company policies.
  4. Represent the organization in negotiations with labor unions and handle all aspects of collective bargaining agreements.
  5. Draft, review, and negotiate employment-related contracts, including severance agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and non-compete agreements.
  6. Conduct training for employees and management on labor and employment laws and best practices to promote a positive and compliant work environment.
  7. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as HR, compliance, and operations, to ensure a cohesive approach to labor and employment matters.
  8. Work closely with outside counsel and manage litigation related to labor and employment matters.
  9. Maintain accurate and organized records of all labor and employment-related legal matters.
  10. Serve as a key resource for employees and management, providing guidance and support on sensitive and complex employment issues.
  11. Continuously monitor and evaluate labor and employment-related processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  12. Act as a representative of the organization in interactions with government agencies and other external entities related to labor and employment matters.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Labor And Employment Law, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Juris Doctor (Jd) Degree From An Accredited Law School And Active License To Practice Law In The State Of Ohio.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Federal And State Labor And Employment Laws, Including But Not Limited To Fmla, Ada, Flsa, And Title Vii.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Representing Employers In Labor And Employment-Related Litigation And Administrative Proceedings.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Advise And Collaborate With Senior Leadership And Hr Professionals.
