Job Description

Welcome to Kettering Health Network, a leading healthcare provider dedicated to improving the lives of our patients and communities. We are currently seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses to join our team as Flu Administrators. In this role, you will play a crucial role in our efforts to combat the spread of influenza by administering flu vaccines and educating our patients and staff on preventative measures.   1. Administer flu vaccines to patients and staff in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Educate patients and staff on the importance of flu prevention and proper hygiene practices.
  3. Monitor and document patient reactions to flu vaccines.
  4. Maintain accurate records of vaccine administration and patient information.
  5. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
  6. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  7. Keep up-to-date with current flu vaccination guidelines and protocols.
  8. Provide compassionate and personalized care to patients of all ages.
  9. Assist in the development and implementation of flu prevention programs.
  10. Act as a resource for patients and staff regarding flu prevention and vaccination.
  11. Maintain a professional and positive attitude towards patients, families, and colleagues.
  12. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  13. Support and promote the mission and values of Kettering Health Network.
  14. Adhere to all policies and procedures set forth by the organization.
  15. Maintain confidentiality and privacy of patient information.
  16. Continuously evaluate and improve upon flu vaccination processes and procedures.
  17. Handle and resolve any patient or staff concerns or complaints related to flu vaccination.
  18. Collaborate with other healthcare providers and community organizations to promote flu prevention and vaccination.
  19. Perform other duties as assigned by the healthcare team or supervisor.
  20. Uphold the highest standards of nursing practice and professionalism.

Job Qualifications
  • Valid Rn License: The Candidate Must Hold A Valid Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Ohio. This Ensures That They Have The Necessary Education And Training To Perform Their Duties As A Flu Administrator.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Degree Is Preferred For This Role. It Provides A Strong Foundation In Nursing Practice, Leadership, And Critical Thinking Skills, Which Are Essential For Managing And Administering Flu Programs.

  • Experience In Public Health And Vaccination Programs: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Working In Public Health And Administering Vaccinations. This Demonstrates Their Knowledge And Understanding Of Best Practices For Managing Flu Programs And Ensuring Compliance With Regulations.

  • Strong Communication And Organizational Skills: As A Flu Administrator, One Must Effectively Communicate With Patients, Healthcare Professionals, And Other Stakeholders. They Must Also Be Organized And Detail-Oriented To Manage The Logistics Of Administering Vaccines And Maintaining Accurate Records.

  • Knowledge Of Infection Control Practices: A Flu Administrator Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Infection Control Practices And Protocols To Prevent The Spread Of Illness. This Includes Knowledge Of Proper Hand Hygiene, Personal Protective Equipment, And Disinfection Procedures.
