- Provide exceptional respiratory care services to newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
- Work collaboratively with the Neonatal Respiratory Care team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each patient.
- Utilize advanced respiratory assessment skills to monitor and evaluate patient progress.
- Administer a variety of respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and ventilator management.
- Educate and support families of newborns on respiratory care techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and develop care plans.
- Stay current with advancements and changes in respiratory care practices and technology.
- Provide compassionate care to patients and their families, offering emotional support and reassurance during stressful situations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in implementing evidence-based practices.

Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or Related Field: A Respiratory Resource At Kettering Health Network Must Have At Least A Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or A Related Field. This Educational Background Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In Respiratory Care Principles And Techniques.
Neonatal Respiratory Care Experience: Kettering Health Network Is Seeking A Respiratory Resource With Experience In Neonatal Respiratory Care. This Includes Managing And Treating Respiratory Conditions In Newborns, As Well As Providing Respiratory Support To Premature Infants.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt) Certification: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Hold A Current Rrt Certification. This Certification Demonstrates The Candidate's Advanced Knowledge And Skills In The Field Of Respiratory Therapy.
Bls And Nrp Certifications: It Is Essential For A Respiratory Resource To Possess Bls (Basic Life Support) And Nrp (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certifications. These Certifications Ensure That The Candidate Is Proficient In Basic Life-Saving Techniques And Can Provide Specialized Care To Neonatal Patients.
Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: Working As A Respiratory Resource At Kettering Health Network Requires Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills. The Candidate Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals, As Well As Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team To Provide The Best Care For Neonatal Patients.
