  1. Accurately code inpatient medical records using ICD-10-CM and PCS coding guidelines and conventions.
  2. Adhere to all coding and compliance guidelines set forth by Kettering Health Network.
  3. Collaborate with other team members to ensure consistency and accuracy in coding practices.
  4. Monitor and resolve coding discrepancies and discrepancies identified by external auditors.
  5. Stay up-to-date with changes in coding guidelines and regulations.
  6. Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and ensure accurate coding.
  7. Participate in coding education and training to maintain and improve coding skills.
  8. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  9. Provide coding support and guidance to other team members when needed.
  10. Ensure timely and accurate submission of coded records for billing and reimbursement purposes.
  11. Maintain productivity and quality standards set by Kettering Health Network.
  12. Identify opportunities for process improvement and actively participate in implementing changes.
  13. Keep detailed and organized records of coded records.
  14. Adhere to Kettering Health Network's remote work policies and procedures.
  15. Represent Kettering Health Network in a professional and positive manner.
  16. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Professional Coder (Cpc) Certification From The American Academy Of Professional Coders (Aapc)

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Coding For A Healthcare Facility Or Coding Company

  • Proficient In Icd-10, Cpt, And Hcpcs Coding Systems

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Anatomy, And Physiology

  • Experience With Electronic Health Records (Ehr) And Coding Software, Such As Epic Or Meditech.
