  1. Accurately code medical records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes according to coding guidelines and regulations.
  2. Ensure timely and efficient coding to meet billing deadlines and optimize revenue cycle.
  3. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and ensure accurate code assignment.
  4. Review and analyze medical records to ensure completeness and accuracy of coding.
  5. Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and disease processes to accurately assign codes.
  6. Stay up-to-date on coding guidelines, regulations, and industry changes to ensure compliance.
  7. Utilize electronic health record systems and coding software to accurately code and bill claims.
  8. Maintain a high level of productivity while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  9. Communicate effectively with team members and management to resolve coding issues and ensure workflow efficiency.
  10. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  11. Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain coding certification and stay current in the field.
  12. Contribute to the overall success of the coding department by identifying areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Professional Coder (Cpc) Certification: The Candidate Must Have A Current Cpc Certification From The American Academy Of Professional Coders (Aapc).

  • Experience In Medical Coding: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Medical Coding, Including Inpatient And Outpatient Coding, Preferably In A Remote Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Coding Guidelines: The Candidate Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Coding Guidelines, Including Icd-10, Cpt, And Hcpcs Coding Systems.

  • Electronic Health Record (Ehr) Experience: The Candidate Should Have Experience Working With Electronic Health Record Systems, Such As Epic, Meditech, Or Cerner.

  • Strong Communication Skills: As A Remote Coding Position, Effective Communication Is Crucial. The Candidate Should Have Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills To Collaborate With The Coding Team And Healthcare Providers.
