Job Description

As a Radiology Technician at Kettering Health Network, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating various injuries and illnesses through the use of medical imaging technology.   1. Conducting diagnostic imaging procedures: The Radiology Technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining various medical imaging equipment, including X-ray, MRI, and CT machines, to produce high-quality images for diagnosing illnesses and injuries.
  2. Ensuring patient safety and comfort: The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that patients are positioned correctly and safely during procedures and providing them with necessary instructions to ensure their comfort and cooperation.
  3. Collaborating with healthcare team: The Radiology Technician will work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and support staff, to provide comprehensive and efficient care to patients.
  4. Maintaining accurate records: It is the responsibility of the Radiology Technician to accurately record and document patient information, including medical history, procedure details, and any adverse reactions or complications.
  5. Adhering to safety protocols: The incumbent will follow all safety protocols and guidelines to protect themselves, patients, and others from unnecessary radiation exposure.
  6. Troubleshooting equipment issues: The Radiology Technician will be responsible for identifying and troubleshooting any equipment malfunctions, reporting them to the appropriate personnel, and ensuring that they are promptly resolved.
  7. Continuing education: The incumbent will be expected to stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology, attend training and workshops, and participate in professional development activities to continuously improve their skills.
  8. Upholding ethical standards: The Radiology Technician will conduct themselves with the utmost professionalism and adhere to ethical standards and guidelines set by the organization and relevant regulatory bodies.
  9. Maintaining infection control standards: The incumbent will follow strict infection control procedures, including proper cleaning and disinfection of equipment and work areas, to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and staff.
  10. Embodying the organization's mission: The Radiology Technician will uphold the organization's mission of providing excellent healthcare services and improving the quality of life for the community by delivering compassionate and high-quality care to patients.

Job Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree Or Equivalent Education In Radiologic Technology From An Accredited Program

  • Certification By The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt)

  • Current State License To Practice Radiography

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting

  • Knowledge Of Radiographic Procedures, Equipment, And Safety Protocols, Including Experience With Various Imaging Modalities Such As X-Ray, Mri, Ct, And Ultrasound.
