- Operate and maintain various medical imaging equipment, including X-ray, CT scan, MRI, and ultrasound machines.
- Prepare patients for procedures and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Position patients correctly and accurately for imaging procedures.
- Adjust and control imaging equipment to obtain high-quality images.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and sterile working environment.
- Assess images for quality and accuracy, and communicate any issues to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Keep current with advancements in radiology technology and techniques.
- Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and professionalism when interacting with patients and their families.
- Provide excellent customer service and address any patient concerns or questions.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Participate in continuing education and training programs to maintain licensure and certifications.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report any issues to the appropriate department.
- Maintain inventory and order necessary supplies for the radiology department.
- Assist in the training and mentoring of new radiology technicians.
- Follow HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and department efficiency.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the department manager or supervisor.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced And Team-Oriented Environment.
Current Certification And Registration As A Radiologic Technologist By The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt).
Bachelor's Degree In Radiologic Technology Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Radiology Tech, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Radiology Equipment And Procedures, Including Digital Imaging, Fluoroscopy, And Contrast Studies.
