- Provide compassionate and personalized care to residents in our Assisted Living facility.
- Assist residents with daily activities, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Promote the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of residents through engaging and meaningful interactions.
- Uphold the highest standards of care and professionalism at all times.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Observe and report any changes in residents' health or behavior.
- Ensure residents' safety and comfort at all times.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided.
- Attend and participate in training and educational programs to continuously improve caregiving skills.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations of the facility.
- Collaborate with other caregivers and team members to provide cohesive and comprehensive care.
- Demonstrate a positive and friendly attitude towards residents, families, and coworkers.
- Show respect and maintain confidentiality of residents' personal information.
- Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols.
- Keep the residents' living space clean and organized.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Experience In Assisted Living And Senior Care: Candidates For A Prn Caregiver Position At Kettering Health Network Should Have Previous Experience Working In An Assisted Living Facility Or Providing Care For Seniors. This Experience Should Include Knowledge Of Common Health Conditions And Mobility Issues That May Affect Older Adults.
Cpr And First Aid Certification: As A Caregiver, It Is Important To Be Prepared For Any Medical Emergencies That May Arise. Candidates Should Have Current Certification In Cpr And First Aid To Ensure The Safety And Well-Being Of The Residents At All Times.
Compassionate And Patient Demeanor: Working With Older Adults Requires A Great Deal Of Patience, Empathy, And Understanding. A Prn Caregiver Should Possess A Compassionate And Patient Demeanor To Provide The Best Care Possible For The Residents At Kettering Health Network.
Excellent Communication Skills: Communication Is Essential In All Aspects Of Caregiving. Candidates Should Have Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate With Residents, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Flexibility And Availability: As A Prn (As Needed) Caregiver, Candidates Should Be Flexible And Available To Work Various Shifts, Including Weekends And Holidays. This May Also Include Being On-Call For Emergencies And Last-Minute Schedule Changes.
