  1. Process and review patient financial assistance applications and determine eligibility for assistance programs.
  2. Communicate with patients and their families to gather necessary information and explain financial assistance options.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial assistance applications.
  4. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive patient information.
  5. Keep up-to-date with changes in insurance and financial assistance policies and procedures.
  6. Accurately input and maintain patient information and financial assistance records in the system.
  7. Provide guidance and assistance to patients in understanding their insurance coverage and financial responsibilities.
  8. Work closely with other departments, such as billing and collections, to resolve any billing or payment issues related to financial assistance.
  9. Collaborate with community organizations and resources to identify additional financial assistance options for patients.
  10. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements related to financial assistance programs.
  11. Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, answering any questions or concerns related to financial assistance.
  12. Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to enhance the patient experience and increase efficiency.
  13. Maintain a positive and empathetic attitude while handling sensitive and emotional situations.
  14. Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients and their families throughout the financial assistance process.
  15. Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures while performing job duties.
