  1. Oversee and manage all aspects of point-of-care testing in the laboratory department.
  2. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards related to point-of-care testing.
  3. Develop and implement policies and procedures for point-of-care testing to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  4. Train and educate laboratory staff on proper procedures and protocols for point-of-care testing.
  5. Monitor and maintain inventory of point-of-care testing supplies and equipment.
  6. Collaborate with other departments and healthcare providers to ensure seamless integration of point-of-care testing into patient care.
  7. Conduct quality control checks and troubleshoot any issues related to point-of-care testing.
  8. Communicate and report any abnormalities or deviations in test results to appropriate personnel.
  9. Ensure accuracy and completeness of all documentation related to point-of-care testing.
  10. Stay current with advancements in point-of-care testing technology and methods.
  11. Analyze data and provide reports on point-of-care testing performance to management.
  12. Maintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with infection control and safety protocols.
  13. Provide exceptional customer service and patient care.
  14. Represent the laboratory department in meetings and committees related to point-of-care testing.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology Or Related Field: A Strong Educational Background In The Field Of Medical Technology Is Essential For A Point Of Care Coordinator - Lab Administration Role At Kettering Health Network.

  • Minimum 3 Years Of Experience In Laboratory Administration: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 3 Years Of Experience Working In A Lab Administration Role, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills: A Point Of Care Coordinator - Lab Administration Is Responsible For Coordinating With Lab Staff, Clinicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills Are Key Qualifications For This Role.

  • Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Regulatory Requirements Related To Laboratory Operations, Including Clia, Cola, And Joint Commission Standards.

  • Strong Leadership And Problem-Solving Abilities: As A Point Of Care Coordinator - Lab Administration, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Overseeing The Daily Operations Of The Lab And Resolving Any Issues That May Arise.
