- Provide high-quality physical therapy services to patients on the Sports Medicine team.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and techniques to help patients recover from injuries and improve their physical function.
- Monitor and track patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients on injury prevention and proper techniques for recovery and rehabilitation.
- Collaborate with other team members, including physicians, athletic trainers, and coaches, to provide holistic care for athletes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, progress, and discharge summaries.
- Stay current with advancements and best practices in sports medicine and physical therapy.

Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Physical Therapy: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Physical Therapy Is Required For This Position, With A Master's Degree Preferred. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In The Principles Of Physical Therapy And Is Equipped With The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Provide Effective Treatment.
State Licensure: All Candidates Must Possess A Valid License To Practice Physical Therapy In The State Of Ohio. This Ensures That The Therapist Is Qualified And Authorized To Provide Services To Patients In Compliance With State Laws And Regulations.
Specialization In Sports Medicine: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Specialization In Sports Medicine, Either Through Education Or Experience. This Ensures That They Have A Deep Understanding Of The Unique Needs And Challenges Of Athletes And Are Equipped To Provide Specialized Treatment And Rehabilitation Plans.
Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience Working As A Physical Therapist In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Sports Medicine Or Orthopedics. This Demonstrates Their Ability To Handle A Variety Of Patients And Conditions And Work Effectively Within A Multidisciplinary Team.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: In Addition To Technical Skills, A Physical Therapist-Sports Medicine Should Have Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills. They Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals, As Well As Provide Support And Motivate Patients During Their Rehabilitation Journey.
