Kettering Health Network is currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for drawing blood from patients and processing specimens for laboratory testing. We are looking for an individual who has a passion for excellent patient care, pays close attention to detail, and is able to work in a fast-paced environment.To be considered for this position, applicants must have completed a phlebotomy training program and possess a valid certification. Additionally, candidates should have at least one year of experience in phlebotomy and be comfortable working with a variety of patient populations. Above all, we are looking for an individual who is reliable and can maintain a professional and supportive demeanor when interacting with patients and colleagues.
Responsibilities:
- Draw blood from patients in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner
- Label and package specimens appropriately for laboratory testing
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines when drawing blood
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace
- Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
- Keep up to date with current phlebotomy techniques and practices
- Adhere strictly to ethical and legal guidelines when dealing with patients
- Document all patient information accurately and completely
- Provide excellent patient care and support
- Maintain a professional demeanor and attitude at all times
